Production Services

 

Founded in 2002, Prairie Dust Films has offices in Chicago, IL, and Portland, OR. We specialize in documentaries, identity pieces, non-profit videos and education. Prairie Dust Films offers the tools and creativity to effectively translate your vision into engaging media. We provide everything from development to audience engagement and distribution- including the following services: consultation, producing, directing, writing, HD shooting (single and multi-camera), production audio, and picture editing.

With over 25 years of combined production experience in news and documentary between our two full-time staff members, our award-winnng productions have aired on public television, national news broadcasts and national marketing campaigns, and have screened in film festivals and in a variety of educational environments.

We employ state-of-the-art digital HD video production and post-production (Avid or FCP) tools in support of your project. From freelance to full-project support, our staff can guide you through the entire production process from development to distribution and audience engagement. Prairie Dust Films’ attention to detail and hands on approach make our clients happy. No budget is too big or too small.

Master Classes, Lectures and Workshops

In addition to our production work, Prairie Dust Films offers master classes, lectures and workshops in documentary shooting, editing, producing and storytelling. We work with youth, adults, special interest organizations, and others to help transform ideas into compelling films.
